The 9th AFRIMA, founded in 2014 by the International Committee of AFRIMA in partnership with the African Union Commission, saw the participation of over 1,216 artists, delegates, and industry stakeholders from at least 48 African countries, underscoring its extensive continental reach and importance.
The event’s festivities commenced on January 7 with a Welcome Soiree and continued with the Africa Music Business Summit. The AFRIMA Music Village buzzed with performances from over 25 top artists for more than 20,000 fans on January 9, before culminating in a grand finale where creatives were awarded the prestigious 23.9-carat gold-plated AFRIMA trophy.
