Samsung is set to unveil its latest audio innovations at CES 2026, introducing the Music Studio 7 and Music Studio 5 wireless speakers. These new offerings represent a significant shift in the company’s approach to speaker design, moving beyond simply camouflaging technology with art to integrating audio devices as artistic statements themselves.
The Music Studio line, developed in collaboration with designer Erwan Bouroullec, draws inspiration from the “timeless dot concept,” a motif found across various forms of music and art. This philosophical approach aims to create speakers that are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing additions to any living space, blending seamlessly with interior decor.
The Music Studio 5, specifically, features a design that evokes musical notation, with its circular elements reminiscent of a fermata, a symbol used to indicate a pause or sustained note. Internally, it houses a 4-inch woofer and dual tweeters, enhanced by a built-in waveguide to optimize sound dispersion and clarity.
The larger Music Studio 7 is engineered as a more robust 3.1.1-channel speaker. It offers versatile usage options, functioning as a standalone unit, in stereo pairs for an expansive soundstage, or integrated with other Samsung audio products like soundbars and TVs through the company’s Q-Symphony technology.
Both the Music Studio 5 and 7 are capable of delivering high-resolution audio, supporting playback up to 24-bit/96kHz. Furthermore, they incorporate AI Dynamic Bass Control, a feature designed to intelligently enhance and extend the low-frequency response for a richer, more immersive listening experience.
While past aesthetic-focused speakers have sometimes compromised on sound quality, Samsung’s recent advancements in audio tuning suggest a strong emphasis on performance for the Music Studio line. This commitment to balancing design and sonic excellence positions these new speakers as compelling options for audiophiles and design enthusiasts alike.
