Christian Persecution in Nigeria: PFN Alleges Genocide, Calls for Security Overhaul

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) is again raising alarms about what it describes as a “Christian genocide” unfolding across Nigeria. The group’s leaders accuse the government of inaction, even complicity, amid relentless violence targeting Christian communities. Bishop Wale Oke, PFN President, is specifically calling on President Tinubu to revamp the security architecture and deliver justice in past egregious cases, like the Deborah Samuel murder and the still-unresolved Chibok and Leah Sharibu abductions.

Oke questions why perpetrators walk free, fueling suspicions of systemic issues. The PFN’s stance is firm: silence is no longer an option as Christians face killings, rape, and displacement.

“Christian genocide ongoing in Nigeria,” Oke stated bluntly. He referenced massacres in Borno, Plateau, and Benue, questioning official narratives. The challenge? To see concrete action proving the government’s impartiality. Mass graves are not just headlines, but undeniable evidence for the PFN. Why, Oke asks, are we downplaying Nigerian lives with politics?

The PFN has consistently highlighted these killings, providing “data and evidence.” This persistent advocacy seems to have been disregarded. Donald Trump’s recent comments spurred them to amplify their message internationally, appealing for intervention to stop the bloodshed.
