Kwara Church Attack: A Failure of Governance and a Crisis of Security

VeryDarkMan Condemns Kwara Church Attack, Questions Government Inaction

Following the appalling attack on a church in Kwara State, activist VeryDarkMan has sharply criticized the Nigerian government. He questions how such an assault could even occur. The incident, which resulted in fatalities and injuries, struck a nerve, particularly given the vulnerable nature of the victims.

Frankly, seeing the footage is deeply unsettling. Elderly worshippers, unable to flee, became targets of what appears to be a coordinated assault. This raises uncomfortable questions about security and the proliferation of weapons. How did these attackers acquire assault rifles? Where was the security?

The Kwara State Police confirmed the attack in Eruku, a town bordering Ekiti State. They reported casualties at a Christ Apostolic Church parish. A worshipper died during the attack, with another body discovered nearby.

VeryDarkMan’s outrage, expressed in a recent video, reflects a growing public concern. His central argument revolves around governmental accountability. He alludes to the president’s absence, suggesting a leadership void. It’s worth noting this isn’t the first time citizens have voiced such concerns during crises.

What exactly will the government do? Nigerians are asking for answers. People yearn for a sense of safety, which is currently absent. Citizens need to know their places of worship, and indeed their communities, are protected.
