A former NASCAR driver is believed to be among seven people who perished in a tragic aircraft crash at Statesville Regional Airport in North Carolina on Wednesday. Aviation officials confirmed the incident occurred around 10:20 AM local time as the aircraft was attempting to land. Greg Biffle, known as “The Biff,” enjoyed a distinguished racing career spanning two decades. He was honored in 2023 as one of NASCAR’s 75 Greatest Drivers, having secured 19 Cup Series victories across the Xfinity Series and Craftsman Truck Series.
