A BBC investigation has uncovered nearly 90 flights linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein that arrived at or departed from UK airports. These journeys, spanning decades, allegedly included British women who claim they were abused by the late billionaire financier. US lawyers representing hundreds of Epstein’s victims have expressed profound shock at the absence of a comprehensive UK investigation into his extensive activities within the country, labelling Britain a “centrepiece” of his global operations.
The investigation specifically identified three British women, alleged victims of trafficking, whose names appear in Epstein’s flight records and associated documents related to UK travel. One, known as “Kate” during the 2021 trial, provided crucial testimony that led to the conviction of Epstein’s accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, for child sex-trafficking in the United States. Despite her pivotal role, Kate’s Florida-based lawyer, Brad Edwards, revealed that no UK police authority has ever contacted her regarding her experiences.
Records detail 87 flights linked to Epstein – significantly more than previously understood – operating between the early 1990s and 2018, with Kate documented on over ten such flights between 1999 and 2006.
