Nigerian actress Doris Ogala has officially accepted an apology from Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the founder of Christ Embassy. The clarification comes after initial reports suggested the apology was from Pastor Chris Okafor of Grace Nation Bible Ministry. Ogala announced her acceptance on Facebook, stating, “Pastor Chris, please don’t kneel. This was all I wanted. Apology accepted.”
Earlier on Sunday, December 28, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome issued a public apology, seen in a video shared by Ogala on Facebook, where he was depicted kneeling before his congregation. He expressed remorse for past actions he described as mistakes, indicating a desire to mend fences.
This development follows allegations made by the Nollywood actress against Pastor Chris Okafor, claiming he had ended their relationship despite a promise of marriage. However, the public statement from Pastor Chris Oyakhilome appears to address a broader scope of perceived offenses.
While disputing the veracity of many claims made against him, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome affirmed his commitment to making amends. He stated, “Mistakes have been made in the past, and I tender my apology to everybody. But everything that was said is not true. There are so many lies in most of the things that were said.”
Despite his reservations about the accusations, Pastor Chris reiterated his readiness to offer restitution to any woman he may have inadvertently offended. His message extended to Doris Ogala directly, alongside a broader apology to all.
“To Doris Ogala, I will apologize, and I also apologize to everyone. I am ready to make a restitution to anyone and anybody, any lady, anywhere I’ve offended,” he declared. The pastor concluded his plea by saying, “I’m kneeling down before everyone and before the church. Forgive me. You can judge me. Pray for me.”
