Governor Uba Sani has stated that Kaduna state is poised to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election, citing significant dividends of democracy delivered to the state and the nation. The governor highlighted numerous projects executed by the Federal Government and those attracted to Kaduna state during a recent stakeholders’ engagement on the ongoing e-registration of APC members nationwide.
Speaking to Zone 2 stakeholders, Governor Uba Sani outlined the state’s ambitious target of registering 2.5 million members in the current exercise, emphasizing the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) dominant position in Kaduna. He posited that his inclusive development model, characterized by equitable project distribution across the state, coupled with President Tinubu’s impactful projects in Kaduna, has led to a substantial influx of defectors from opposition parties into the APC.

This level of federal backing for such a critical infrastructure initiative is remarkable, especially within northern Nigeria, with only Lagos state receiving comparable support for similar projects.
Governor Uba Sani elaborated on the federal government’s commitment to major development initiatives in Kaduna. He mentioned a significant poultry project, for which President Bola Tinubu has designated Kaduna state as the pilot location. This ambitious undertaking is projected to generate at least 350,000 jobs. The federal government has already allocated $200 million for this venture, which aims to establish the largest poultry project in Sub-Saharan Africa, with a groundbreaking expected within the next three weeks.
This groundbreaking poultry project is also designed to bolster approximately 10,000 direct and indirect small businesses, with a particular focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that are ancillary to poultry farming. This demonstrates a commitment to broad economic stimulation beyond direct job creation.
The governor expressed gratitude for President Bola Tinubu’s approval of the Mando to Birnin Gwari road construction, recognizing its critical importance. Additionally, he acknowledged the approval for the reconstruction of the Kwoi to Jama’a road, further underscoring federal support for infrastructure development.
Furthermore, Governor Uba Sani detailed the collaborative efforts between the Kaduna state government and the office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajuddeen Abbas. Numerous projects have been approved in the current budget for Zone 1, highlighting the beneficial impact of having a strong federal representation from the state.
He noted that Zone 1, also known as the northern senatorial district, has experienced a disproportionate share of developmental benefits, attributing this success in part to the presence of House Speaker Abbas. The governor also acknowledged the substantial contributions of the Minister of Environment, Malam Balarabe Abbas Lawal, in advancing Kaduna state’s interests.
Regarding environmental initiatives, the Minister of Environment has played a crucial role in major projects under ACRES, specifically addressing erosion and other climate-related challenges. This collaboration is leading to tangible outcomes in environmental sustainability for the state.
In the coming months, significant groundbreakings are scheduled in Zaria and Rigasa for projects totaling approximately N53 billion. This substantial investment is a direct result of the support and efforts facilitated by the Minister of Environment, Mallam Balarabe Abbas, underscoring the coordinated approach to state development.
Governor Uba Sani concluded by emphasizing that the combined efforts of the state government and the projects attracted by President Tinubu’s administration have positioned Kaduna state for significant growth. He anticipates that these developments will solidify its standing as a leading state, particularly in the ongoing e-registration exercise for APC members.
Prior to these engagements, the governor conducted similar consultations with stakeholders from Zone 2 on Saturday, involving APC members from Kaduna North, Kaduna South, Chikun, Kajuru, Igabi, Birnin Gwari, and Giwa local government areas. On Sunday, he met with stakeholders from Zone 1, which encompasses Zaria, Sabon Gari, Soba, Makarfi, Kubau, Kudan, Ikara, and Lere local governments. Additionally, interactions were held with stakeholders from Zone 3, comprising Zangon Kataf, Kachai, Jaba, Jemaá, Kaura, Kagarko, and Sanga local government areas in southern Kaduna, on Sunday as well.
