Governor Mutfwang’s decision to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling APC was formally announced following the submission of his resignation to his former party. Meanwhile, former Plateau State Governor and PDP leader, Senator Jonah Jang, has reassured PDP members of the party’s continued stability and unity. In a statement, Senator Jang described the PDP as a resilient force committed to democratic development and urged members to remain focused and confident. He wished Governor Mutfwang well in his new political endeavor, advising him to always prioritize the interests of Plateau State above partisan considerations, expressing hope that the people will ultimately benefit from these political realignments.
