These lenses gently reshape the cornea, allowing for clear vision during the day without the need for glasses or soft contact lenses. This method is particularly useful for those seeking a glasses-free experience.

Managing irregular astigmatism often requires addressing the underlying cause. However, hard contact lenses are frequently used during the day because they can conform to the uneven surface of the cornea, providing a smoother optical surface and clearer vision. In severe cases, surgical interventions like corneal transplants may be necessary to restore vision by replacing a damaged cornea.

Do children with astigmatism need special attention? If astigmatism in children is significant enough to cause blurred vision, it can hinder their academic performance and participation in sports.
