Far-right activist Tommy Robinson was physically confronted and shoved by professional boxer Ty Mitchell during an altercation at the Misfits Boxing event in Dubai. The incident occurred backstage at the weigh-in for “Misfits Boxing: The Fight Before Christmas,” an event notably headlined by controversial figures Andrew Tate and Chase DeMoor.

Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was engaged in an interview with IFL TV discussing his presence at the event with his children when Mitchell approached. Mitchell immediately launched a verbal tirade, calling Robinson a “racist p” and questioning the interviewer for providing him with airtime.

The confrontation escalated as Mitchell accused Robinson of “hating Muslims” while being present in a Muslim country, a claim Robinson refuted by stating his opposition to terrorism and jihadists. Mitchell continued his insults, telling Robinson that “no one wants you round here” and instructing him to “go back to where you come from.”

Following the heated exchange of words, Mitchell stepped in front of the camera, physically blocking Robinson. He then proceeded to shove the activist, an action that necessitated the intervention of security personnel to separate the two men and de-escalate the situation.

Ty Mitchell, the boxer involved in the altercation, has a prior conviction for manslaughter. In 2011, he was jailed for his role in the death of 19-year-old Jagdip Randhawa in Leeds. Randhawa died after striking his head on the pavement following a punch from Mitchell.

Mitchell was sentenced to seven years in prison for the manslaughter conviction in 2012. A subsequent report highlighted significant procedural failures, including Mitchell breaching bail conditions for a previous violent offense 24 times without action, which were described as handled in a “fundamentally flawed” manner by Derbyshire Police.
