Fallon Sherrock, the renowned darts player, has seemingly directed a playful jab at her ex-boyfriend Cameron Menzies during her recent PDC World Darts Championship match. The incident occurred at Alexandra Palace shortly after Menzies himself made headlines for an on-stage outburst following his own first-round defeat.

Sherrock was competing against Dave Chisnall in her opening round fixture when she appeared to mimic Menzies’ controversial behaviour. As she walked back to her table after a leg, Sherrock was observed to briefly touch and then seemingly shake the table, a gesture interpreted by many as a lighthearted reference to Menzies’ recent actions.

The former couple, who were together for over four years after their relationship began during the pandemic, were both in action at the prestigious tournament. Menzies, having lost his first-round match 3-2 to Charlie Manby, was captured on camera repeatedly punching a table, resulting in a cut to his hand. He later issued a public apology for his behaviour.

Menzies attributed his reaction to a difficult period in his personal life, including the recent passing of his uncle. He expressed regret for his outburst, stating it was not an excuse but a consequence of accumulated stress. He also acknowledged Manby’s performance and apologised for overshadowing his victory.

Despite the apparent jest, Sherrock’s own match did not go as planned. She was ultimately defeated by Dave Chisnall with a score of 3-0. Sherrock’s performance saw her average 84.83, a figure that ultimately proved insufficient to advance to the next stage of the competition.

The PDC has stated its support for players’ well-being following such incidents. Chief Executive Matt Porter confirmed that Menzies had been offered support from the organisation and the Professional Darts Players Association. The Darts Regulation Authority will review the incident, with player welfare being the primary concern.
