We witnessed Denver, Indiana, and Miami flex their muscles with impressive team efforts. The Knicks? They finally snagged that elusive first road victory. Here’s a look at the key games and emerging storylines.

Rockets Over Cavaliers (114-104)

Houston secured a W in Cleveland, thanks to Alperen Sengun going off for 28/11/7. The Rockets pulled away late after a tight first three stanzas. Cleveland is clearly having issues. De’Andre Hunter paced the Cavaliers with 25, but it wasn’t enough. The team needs to regroup.

Pacers Beat Hornets (127-118)

Indiana handled business against Charlotte, though they had to fend off a late push. Bennedict Mathurin showed out with 24 points and 12 boards. Still, watch out for Kon Knueppel. This Hornets rookie is trending up, dropping 28 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists.

Raptors Best 76ers (121-112)

Toronto took charge in the third and never looked back against the Sixers. Jakob Poeltl led the Raptors with 19 and 8. For Philadelphia, Tyrese Maxey battled, racking up 24 points and 9 assists. However, the 76ers have to shore up their defense.

Heat Toast Warriors (110-96)

Miami closed this one out strong, outscoring Golden State by 16 in the fourth. Nate Powell had a huge night for the Heat, scoring 25 points with 6 rebounds. Over on the Warriors side, P. Spencer did a little bit of everything: 11 points, 8 rebounds, and 13 assists. However, the Warriors look lost.

Timberwolves Tame Wizards (120-109)

Minnesota jumped out to a big lead in the first half and cruised to victory. Julius Randle was dominant for the Timberwolves with 32/10/6. Keyonte George posted 23/7/7 in a losing effort for the Wizards. Still, I’m not sure Washington is the worst team in the NBA.

Nuggets Triumph Over Pelicans (125-118)

Denver fended off a late Pelicans push, largely due to Peyton Watson’s 32-point, 12-rebound explosion. New Orleans’ David Duke Jr. (Queen) flashed potential, scoring 30 points and grabbing 9 rebounds. The Nuggets are starting to round into shape.

Thunder Strike Kings (113-99)

Oklahoma City controlled this game from the jump. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continued his MVP-caliber season with 33 points and 8 rebounds. Precious Achiuwa led the Kings with 15 points and 9 rebounds, but Sacramento just did not have enough firepower.

Knicks Edge Mavericks (113-111)

New York secured that first road win, eking out a victory over Dallas in a nail-biter. Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 28 points. D’Angelo Russell did all he could for the Mavericks with 23 points and 7 assists. It’s hard to believe the Mavericks are a playoff team.

Bulls Beat Trail Blazers (122-121)

Chicago pulled off a dramatic win thanks to Nikola Vucevic’s buzzer-beating three. He finished with 27 points and 8 rebounds. The Trail Blazers’ Deni Avdija recorded a triple-double with 32/11/11.
