Kim K. vs. The Psychics: A Cautionary Tale
Okay, so Kim Kardashian is apparently not thrilled with the psychics in her life right now. And honestly, can you blame her?
Word is, after failing the California bar exam (again, or still?), she went on a mini-rant about how all the clairvoyants she consulted swore she’d pass. Pathological liars, she called them. Ouch.
I saw the TikTok clip. It was… something. Posted from Kris Jenner’s over-the-top 70th birthday bash, naturally.
But here’s what gets me. I’ve seen this happen before, not with bar exams necessarily, but with… expectations. People, especially famous people, often surround themselves with people who tell them what they want to hear. Makes sense, right? Who wants constant negativity? But sometimes, maybe you need that dose of reality.
She took the “baby bar” like four times before she passed, which, good for her for sticking with it. But it also suggests…maybe the bar exam is, you know, kinda hard? To be fair, she’s juggling a million things. Skims, the show, kids, and now, acting. She’s playing a lawyer in that Ryan Murphy show, All’s Fair, which critics, uh, haven’t exactly loved. “Critically-panned” is the polite way to put it, I guess.
And I think that’s the thing. Sometimes I think people look at someone like Kim K. and assume everything comes easy. But this law journey of hers has been a real struggle. She even said she’s “all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up.” You gotta respect that, right?
But about those psychics…
Maybe they saw potential. Or maybe, just maybe, they were trying to stay on her good side. Who knows? Either way, it’s a reminder that even the most confident people need to be careful who they listen to. Especially when it comes to predicting the future.
Kim said she was close, which is a good sign. And next bar exam is in February.
It’s interesting, though. She’s apparently not planning to be a divorce lawyer, like her character. More interested in criminal justice reform. Remember she lobbied Trump to get Alice Marie Johnson released? Maybe that’s where her heart truly is.
So, what’s the takeaway? Don’t trust psychics? Probably. But also, don’t let anyone – even yourself – convince you that success is guaranteed. Hard work still matters. And maybe a little bit of realism. That, and maybe invest in a better tutor, not a psychic. Just a thought.
